Posted at 9:23 AM by Brittany, on March 9, 2013

    1. I have eaten the exact same lunch the past three days and I am officially obsessed.

Spinach, kale, broccolettes, and sweet potatoes. Topped with mustard and nooch.

Spinach, kale, broccolettes, and sweet potatoes. Topped with mustard and nooch.

    I dream about this bowl.

    2. I have competition. When asking my (autistic) sister if she had a boyfriend her reply was, “*****. He is a good guy.” Well that’s odd, ***** is my boyfriend. Hahaha.

    3. I have FINALLY finished Scott’s book.

    20130308-193547

I still want to be his best friend.

    4. I haven’t had sweets in too long. I lost count. I would shank someone for some Snackimals right now.

    5.  I went urban hiking yesterday. I didn’t know that was even a thing. It’s what you call walking around town, I guess it sounds cooler to call it urban hiking. Weird. The sights were still as good as a mountain hike though.

    20130308-193607

    6. I love the smell of cleaning products. It’s bad. Citrus smell, bleach, Ajax, laundry soap, cat litter..nothing like chemicals to awaken my senses. Who needs drugs when you can smell cleaning products…….JOKE!

    7. I’ve owned my car for 5 years and have yet to change the wiper blades, until yesterday. This may seem like no big deal to my desert friends, but I live in a state that rains..a LOT.

    20130308-193717

With a combination of discounted blades at Costco, and an insisting family, I bought the blades. I also wanted to use them as ninja sticks.

    20130308-19373220130308-193841

Fortunately for me I didn’t have to put them on.

Now it just needs to rain.

    8. I have found the next half marathon I am going to run. Super jazzed.

    9. Sitting in a coffee shop reading a book, people watching, or blogging is one of the most relaxing things ever.

    20130309-083907

    10. I have found the most amazing app for my cheap frugal ways. I have this habit of picking up change when I see it on the ground. I get wayyy too excited when I find pennies, nickles, and dimes on the ground. Don’t even get me started on finding a quarter. I decided to track how much change I find starting from the beginning of March. I found at least $1.50 from January to February. Laugh away, that will buy me a free donut!

    20130309-090340

So March hasn’t been a big payday yet, but I’m holding strong for the day I find those quarters! My friends won’t be laughing at the end of the year when they see I’ve found $5.00 for free!

    Q(s):

    • When’s the last time you changed your wiper blades?
    • What’s your weekly confession?

Your sister sounds so sweet:) Your boyfriend as well! Congrats on finding a new race.. you must be ready to run one any day because you train so much! And.. I love that app! How cool is that?! Pennies are discontinued in Canada soon.. so that App would have to be “Canadianized” with a Loonie, a Twoonie and no penny!

      1. Would you say Eat & Run is a must-read? I’ve been thinking of reading it (one of my goals for 2013 is to read more in English.. AHhhh!)..
      2. Your pick-up-change-habit is great! Loving the app too!
Now I wish I did it too, I KNOW I’ve seen a bunch of coins laying around on the ground lately. Why, oh why, didn’t I pick them up?! At the end of the year they would at least cover.. one running sock.. Maybe? 🙂 Or like you said, a donut (or five)!
      3. When’s your next Half? Exciting!

      I like your blog girl!
Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

        2. I shuttered at the thought of all that change being left behind! It’s never too late to collect. HAHA.

At my favorite donut shop in town, that would buy you almost 2 donuts — they’re only $0.90 each!! And I’m super impressed you haven’t had sweets for so long. I need dark chocolate and dessert (yes, they’re two separate things) at least once a day!

Hahahaha, man you always make me laugh so much!! The love change app – I wouldn’t use it, but Amy would 😉 So funny, she actually picked up a penny this morning while we were out for a run! Okay and urban hiking? Say what?! I feel like thats a term someone who doesn’t workout made up so that “shopping” or strolling around town qualifies?!? haha okay prob not. But anywho, if that is a thing – I urban hike a lot!!

That lunch intrigues me. I’ll have to give it a try. Also, I love that your sister thinks your manfriend is great – I’d say that’s a sign that you definitely have a good one!

      I’m totally a change-picker-upper. It’s in my blood. I come from a long line of penny-pinchers.

I have to change my windshield wipers about once every 18 months but ironically I think it’s due to how dry it is where I live and the lack of use.

My confession is that I have not changed out of my pajamas, fluffy red bathrobe (totally hot, I know – my fiance is soooo lucky), and houseshoes all day today. And I may not tomorrow. Holla…

Ain’t no shame in eating an awesome meal repeatedly. If it’s good, it’s good, and there’s no gettin’ around that 🙂

Urban hikes are my most favorite weekend activity! As long as the weather’s nice, my husband and I are almost always out walking around whatever city we’re in (taking in the sights and local fare :D)

I enjoy chillin’ at coffee shops and people watching, but I find that I can’t commit to anything requiring much more focus than that. I definitely can’t do any productive tasks there (I couldn’t do homework or study at coffee shops in high school or college either) because I’m too distracted – a magazine is about as much as I can handle with all the other activity buzzing around me.

Your confessions post are such fun; I totally would have went ninja with those wiper blades, and I like the smell of gasoline and matches, but not together because that would be bad. Your bowl of green plus sweet potatoes looks great so I can see why you’ve eaten it for three days now. I’m stuck on twice baked potatoes.
Side story: I throw old bread outside for the squirrels and other woodland creatures living in our back yard, but I keep catching Max eating the bread. He’s such a pig.

For as long as I have been reading this blog you have never told us Aarons name, at least that I have noticed. Woahhhh. AND I just have to say it… when you talked about your dessert friends I was thinking, hm isn’t it spelled desert? Because 2 s’s means you want seconds and you always want seconds for dessert not for desert. I heart you though and think you should leave it.

I have been driving around with a wiper blade that is flapping around for the last week or 2. I don’t understand they were perfectly fine one day and the next the rubber was all floppy around, obviously some one attacked my car in the middle of the night.

I agree.. there is nothing quite better/relaxing than sitting at a coffee shop with a good booki/blogging. Through Tyler in the mix while he’s reading the sports section of the paper and I am a happy camper 🙂

Windshield wiper story. Imagine a bad bad blizzard. I am driving to downtown Milwaukee for drill. Wiper ices up. I tried to de-ice it while driving and instead breaks the wiper. In a blizzard. I stuck my head out the window until I could get to a gas station. Where I proceeded to walk blocks IN A BLIZZARD to an auto shop. Who demanded me pay them 10 extra dollars to put them on my car. A) i’m a lady. B)i’m in my Army uniform. C) I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO. That is my story.
