All About Brittany

Hey there.

If you’re looking for a blog that fits into a certain niche, this is not it. I like to write about the random shenanigans that happen in my life with a side of minimalism, hiking, travel, biking, and living in the present moment. Life constantly changes, so my blog follows suit.

I live everyday trying to maintain “balance” and “bliss” between all aspects of my life, hence the cornier than a box of Chex mix blog name. In 2016 I was diagnosed with Sjogrens Syndrome, an autoimmune disease I try to find balance with everyday. Somedays are harder than others, but I refuse to let my life pass me by.

My philosophies are simple: life is meant to be lived, and I believe in cultivating a lifestyle that fosters a healthy body, mind, and spirit. Stress kills, and I try my damndest to limit unnecessary stress inside my body. Sometimes that’s easier said than done, but we only fail when we quit trying.

I have a unique sense of humor, and sometimes that shows in my posts. When I’m not spilling my soul online you can find me getting lost in the mountains, rubbing my hands in dirt to balance my gut flora, or listening to podcasts about meditation.

I don’t know what I want to be when I grow up, so I’m always changing my path. It took me ten years to finish my BS in Human Communication, and all that did was confirm I like to communicate. So I write my deepest thoughts on this small space of the web.

Somehow I have managed to keep this blog alive for over ten years. Wowza.

I started sharing my life with the internet in 2011, and if you’re brave enough to dig through my older posts you’ll discover terrible photo quality, and inconsistent layouts. The nature of my personality – it all stays. The good, the bad, and the ugly.

My older posts consist of daily shenanigans, my life as a (former) runner, and a lot of food. These days my posts are much different. Except for shenanigans, those are constant.

That time when I ran 6 half marathons…

This IS a family blog (hi mom and dad) so I censor my verbiage a bit, but otherwise I keep it as real as I can right down to the nitty gritty roller coaster of life. To find out more you’ll just have to stick around and read my posts!
