Posted at 6:09 AM by Brittany, on December 22, 2014

    1. On Friday I went to my first spin class in weeks. I was quickly reminded why it’s important to stay on top of cardio. Holy tired sweat fest. So I went again yesterday for 90 min spin, and then went for a 2 hr hike. Time to get back in running shape.

    2. Last week I got an e-mail informing me that if I bought a $30 gift card at The Veggie Grill I would get a free entree. I bought the card…for myself. Then I ate a free meal.

    My free meal.

“BLT” with smoked tempeh bacon, avocado, and a garlic aioli on sourdough. Swoon.

    3. I balanced out my selfish gift card purchase by sharing a $5 oatmeal cookie with a stranger on the streets of Seattle. I hope she enjoyed it more than I did.

    4. I’ve been branching out of my drip coffee bubble and getting something different. Americanos have a caramel sweetness to them thanks to the espresso beans.

    IMG_3338

This goes so well with my morning apple or banana.

    5. I have been driving my car without a hubcap for OVER TWO YEARS NOW. I inquired about a new one once, but decided I was too cheap to buy one.

    6. Looks like my patience payed off because my amazing coworker/friend (he chose me for his secret Santa) BOUGHT ME A NEW HUBCAP! SO JAZZED.

    img_3374

    7. I won a coffee selling competition at work, and the prize is a trip to the new reserve roasting plant with my boss and the aforementioned coworker (he won the following week.) Basically my boss is paying for us to go to Seattle and drink coffee.

    8. Lily…makes…gorgeous….things. Click here for adorable stuff.

    IMG_3353

    9. Once upon a time I used to drink one cup of coffee. One. And I wouldn’t even finish it. Lately I’ve been drinking nearly my entire morning French press. It’s soothing.

    10. FIVE MORE SLEEPS UNTIL I’M SUNNING MY SKIN IN ARIZONA!

First of all, #2 is my favorite. Hilarious. And Brilliant.

      My Early Morning Confessions:

      1. These are not very early morning confessions because I slept for ten hours last night. TEN. That never happens. Oh, the luxury of Christmas vacation.

      2. I was really angry after work last week, so I decided to get out my frustration with a run (go me)! I made it about 1.2 miles before I couldn’t breathe and had to hobble home like an old grandma (sad face). The Bad News: It was a strong reminder that my new year’s resolution must involve exercise. The Good News: Any remaining energy available went to breathing and not being angry!

      3. I hosted a Christmas party last weekend and was given a hostess gift by one of the attendees. The I went to a Christmas party yesterday for another friend… and took that same hostess gift… in the same bag. Ah, re-gifting before Christmas even arrives! Frugality at its finest.

I start half marathon training again today, and I am scared to see where I am starting from. It’s going to be a sad sight. Your re-gift confession made me laugh out loud. I’ve totally done that.

I burst out laughing at the hub cap gift – SOOOO awesome!!

I have a maximum of one coffee per day…sometimes none…if I had more than one (even if all in the morning), I probably wouldn’t sleep that night! LOL

oh the days of just ONE cup of coffee. I hardly remember those days!!! When I was in Nelson, my sister and I would share an ENTIRE pot of coffee. The whole thing. And it was big. Luckily, back in Toronto I’m sticking to no more than two in the morning..okay, so sometimes I drink one and a half cups – so close to one but my ONE is still a big big cup. I also love this whole post.

My confession of the day: My bottom left molar is growing in. It’s infected and today I have to go to the dentist…. I’m praying they let me keep it – I don’t wanna lose the bad boy! #firstworldproblems

You’re coworker is awesome. YOU are awesome for sharing your cookie, the ultimate selfless gesture 😉 Don’t know how you ever only drank one cup!

My confession… I still need to do Christmas shopping and don’t want to. Also, I had kahlua cake for breakfast this morning at work, followed by a sugar cookie. When’s the madness going to end?!

That is too funny that your co-worker got you a hubcap…that is something I would buy b/c hey I know you need it, so practical 🙂 I can barely handle coffee anymore unless I’ve had food first, P made me a cup Friday to go with our donuts and the coffee+sugar combo gave me the shakes. SO excited for you and AZ! I wish I was headed out there again this year. We are going to meet — it’s next year’s New Year’s resolution! 🙂 And you and your hubcap… That just seals the deal. You’re the cutest & we must meet!
