Posted at 8:57 AM by Brittany, on October 18, 2013

Yesterday my friend and I hit the streets of a local town and enjoyed the lovely fall day.

Something about wandering outside with leaves littered along the streets makes me feel so warm and full of life. I had the most wonderful day, and fall continues to make me swoon. There were plenty of photo ops, and naturally I had to take part.

I’m not sure what’s going on the last photo, my face is clearly facing the wrong way. This is definitely my kind of girl though, having two of the same outfit. I also ran into Gigi, and by ran into I mean I superimposed her face into the hole next to mine so I wouldn’t be alone.

How neat is this building? I want to live here.

I also made some new friends.

    Bullfrog rides: $0.25

    Yoga with the locals.

The only downside was not being able to find any vegan treats. Only one bakery had a slab of cake (only one option) but I didn’t have cash and that’s all they accepted. I went into every cafe/bakery in attempts to find something. While rounding a corner to another cafe, we saw some local hippies dancing at an intersection. My friend called them crazy, I called them intriguing. So…I went and danced for 19 seconds with no shame.

I don’t know what compelled me to do this, but it was liberaring!! What I do know is that my dancing skills are zero (I was trying to mimic that lady) and this lady had the hairiest armpits I have ever seen. Once I saw that I ran the other way. Dance on my friends!

We ended our afternoon at a coffee shop that was connected to a wine bar with live music. I swooned so hard over the guy singing. His voice was like a combination of Fergie and Jesus. Inside the adorable coffee shop I saw the most adorable sign. I want.

"Luv can be so blind. & strangely blissful. Don't sweat the small stuff."

“Luv can be so blind. & strangely blissful. Don’t sweat the small stuff.”

    Amen.

Q: Do you like wandering cute local towns?

We had such an AMAZING DAY YESTERDAY!!! Grinding up on those hippies like we do poles at the club… Splashing around in the leaves telling spiders they can SUCK IT – we are going to cause an earthquake of their home…. Transforming into sexy witches, aliens and Frankensteins….. Man, this must be what it feels like to be in a movie starring Lindsey Lohan!

The foliage looks GORGEOUS out there by you lady! It’s been ‘seattle-like’ all week here. misty AMs & i think the sun has peaked its face all of 10 min since monday.

that sign is so perfect, i need that as well. i’m going to a coffee/wine bar tonight. it wont be as fun as the one you saw though cause it’s on a busy college campus. bleghh

That witch picture is basically the definition of working it — OW OW! And your mention of the lady’s hairy armpits reminds me of a time I was riding a bus in Warsaw and a lady with hairy pitskies got on board and stood right over me holding the pole. Omg I couldn’t look away — you could have literally braided it! Eventually I offered her my seat because I just couldn’t handle it anymore…

You. Are. My. HERO!!! Dancing with strangers?? (And doing a better job, I might add?) AMAZING! Your picture with the frog reminds me of high school… There was a 3-year-old’s carousel outside of one of our local grocery stores, and I climbed on as an 18-year-old while my friends snapped pictures. One of the best memories! 🙂

LOL to the dance video with the hippies. You rock! And I love all of these fall pictures. My favorite pictures from high school were always in the fall months. The leaves just make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside! And I want my entire house to be covered in autumn colored leaves… I wonder if that’s an option when building a home….?

You just made my week with that hippie dance video. MADE.MY.WEEK. Those leaves make me so jealous! Currently (at 6:38PM) it’s 85 degrees. No bueno! I can’t believe you couldn’t find anything vegan… guess that’s the downside to small towns… they aren’t always “up with the times” haha. SUch a fun day!

I’m glad you danced with abandon, publicly with the local hippies. That might be me one day, although I’m well acquainted with my razor, and I plan on keeping it that way.
These are great pictures, and it looks like a picture perfect day, minus cake. Maybe you should move there and open a vegan bakery. The kind where you let your cats hang out in the shop.
