Posted at 7:56 AM by Brittany, on May 26, 2015

As I mentioned in my previous post I’ve spent the last couple weeks training to be a supervisor. This keeps me busy while I am at work, but there are things that have kept me busy when I’m away from work too. Things like…

…house/Pet sitting. I spent last Sunday-Friday with the fluff ball shown below, and we spent a lot of time soaking up the sun. My Jun/Jul are both full of sitting.

    IMG_1547

She’s much fluffier than the last time we spent time together.

…running everyday. I’m feeling quite fantastic. I think once 100 mile May is over I’ll need to set another running goal for June to keep the party going.

    IMG_1548
    IMG_1645

…putting time and effort into my dinners. Despite the fact that an apple and pretzels always sounds like a good option, potatoes are better.

    IMG_1613

    IMG_1537

There are six in this photo, though hard to see. For those of you that wonder where non meat eaters get their protein, this meal had a solid 20 grams. 😉

    IMG_1564

    Potato heaven.

…figuring out what to do with the growth atop my head. After realizing my mop was turning into…a mop, I chopped it off. Sometimes I’m very impetuous.

    IMG_1601

    View from the back..

To keep it real though here is how I will look the remainder of my days.

    IMG_1606

    IMG_1610

The above photo of it straight, along with my main blog photo were both taken the day I got it cut (blog photo was last May’s haircut) because my stylist straightened it. Then it never see’s the flat iron again. I don’t like it straight, and I’m lazy.

…spending moneys. I never spend money, so this is a big one. Except on food, which I do plenty of. REI knows how to work a bargain though with their anniversary sale. I walked in for new running shoes, and walked out with a jacket, a bag, and no shoes.

Both were on sale, and when you see a forest green back that doubles as a backpack and a handle bag, you buy it. It was time I upgraded my overnight bag from a reusable Whole Foods bag to something a bit sturdier.

    marmot

I like busy, busy is good.

Q: What’s kept you busy lately?

    b

Other than work, which hasn’t been busy, nothing’s keeping me busy and it’s driving me INSANE!!! I think I’ll make potatoes for dinner tonight 🙂 I could use a haircut, too. I’m just so cheap and hate the cost of them- which for me includes coloring. Anywho… have you found and loose change lately?!

Yes, I have! No where near the amount I found a couple years ago, and I realized the other day I never even downloaded the coin counter app on my new phone when I got it last December. Shame on me…I’ve probably found a buck or so this year. Usually while running haha.

My haircuts cost $40, including s $5 tip. Anymore than that and I’d rather have dreads. 😂

How do you run every single day?? I feel like my legs would get worn out really quickly… They like a rest day in between, so I’m a little jealous! 😉

The first couple weeks I definitely felt the burn, I ended up taking one day off in the middle and made up the miles later to give my legs a rest. Otherwise it’s been fine probably because most runs average 3 miles with just a few longer ones thrown in, so they’re manageable!

Ha. That’s pretty funny because I was wondering, from a previous post, why you have long hair if you always wear it up? While I admit I generally prefer longer hair for women, your short do is undeniably cute. And that’s the most I’ve said about hair, perhaps ever.

Congratulations on the promotion. Big responsibilities abound.

I don’t like my hair straight, either. I also cut off my long locks, though my bob has since grown a bit. It’s at that stage where I need to decide if I’m going to keep it short or let it go long. Dinner looks tasty! I’m not finding vegetarian running hard at all.

My hair is very curly so when I get it cut I ask my hairdresser to straighten it. I rarely try to do it myself but when I do it never looks like it does when she does it. So, I usually don’t bother. I’ve been busy with gardening and yard work, running, going to NYC. It was great having an extra day off.

Baked! It’s so easy to just throw a couple trays in the oven and leave them be for an hour or so. When I’m out and about (aka at Whole Foods) I load up on their roasted taters with extra love.

Busy is GOOD! Until it’s not and then you gotta take a little time to be un-busy :-).

A few haircuts back the stylist ironed my very curly hair flat as a pancake. I felt like the biggest doofus walking out of the salon and cursed her and her blowdryer/iron. I love my curls and never, ever straighten them.

Doofus…perfect word to describe my feelings towards my straight hair. Not just that it’s straight, but SO stick straight I feel bottom heavy with the lack of volume on my head. Your hair is always adorable, and one of these days I’ll be brave enough to get rid of all mine like you do every so often.

And my hair is similar – I was told recently I should straighten it all the time. I explained I don’t have time for that and it’s important for me to embrace the curls. Cute hair!

You can totally rock the short hair – I love it! While I am happy I chopped mine off in April, I’m sort of missing how easy it was to throw up my longer locks. Operation Grow Hair Out (again) has officially started. I’m sort of in love with the pack you bought – totally necessary purchase in my eyes! I’ve been busy, outside of working 9-5, doing my CrossFit training, maintaining a better blog schedule, getting as many kitten cuddles as I can, and just trying to work through the funk I was in. It took me awhile, but I finally admitted to being in one, and it is making it easier to deal with.

I find that prioritizing things I WANT to do, over things I NEED to do helps. Life is too short to be stressed about things that won’t be there in the end…
