    1. They’re baaaaccckkk…

    20140112-183709

Coming to a Starbucks near you after November 1st.

    2. I kind of want to run a marathon..but I’m really scared.

    3. My typical grocery haul is what I like to call balance.

    IMG_3044-0

    4. I dislocated my elbow last week (at 4am), and spent 15 minutes trying to put it back in its socket. Sadly this has happened a handful of times before, but not recently. I cried, yelled for my mommy, pulled it back into place, and then went to work. Damn you yoga planks…

    5. Still obsessed with fall squash. IMG_3039-06. I really miss hiking, and being active all day. I’ve been so sedentary with school lately I’m starting to grow another human off my backside.

    7. Folded/curled chips > flat chips. I will dig throughout an entire bag searching for all of the folded chips. Don’t even get me started on when 5 chips are baked on top of each other.

I guess once a digger always digger.

    IMG_3043-0

    8. I rarely have enough free time to spend reading blogs. Have I mentioned how badly school is cramping my style? Is it December yet??

    9. I don’t even have time to focus on creating tastings with my one true love – black crack.

    20140517-185132-67892525

    10. I want a new iPhone (I’m still rocking the iPhone 4 I got in 2011)…and the Garmin 220….and a trip to Ireland…and room filled with coffee and chocolate.

    Q: What’s your confession?

    b

I don’t usually drink soda, but have a travel coffee mug full of coca cola to help stave off the headache I’ve had every morning since Monday. So…I’ve been drinking soda since 7:30. Gotta do what you gotta do right?

P.S. Run a marathon! 7 months before I ran my first, I said I’d never even consider it. A month later I was registered for one and started training. The training is probably the hardest part. I’m running my second this weekend and am nervous, but excited. Already debating another 🙂 You can do it!

I said the same thing about a marathon, god damn peer pressure got to me 🙂 I think it is hilarious when people have their unique food likes (I am so the same way). For chips, I hate the whole chips, I like the broken pieces. Unless it is kettle cooked then man I want those folded ones. Random, yes. It’s friday though.

ALEEXXX. First of all, HHIHIHIHIH I’ve missed your face. Second, you were already a beast of a runner soooo a marathon was your next step! HA.

I also love the broken pieces, and I will dig for those and grab a GIANT handful to stuff in my face. It gives me a similar sensation of folded chips because there is so much crunch. I sound like a weirdo….

These are seriously my favorite posts of yours. They crack me up AND I always learn something about you 🙂 Do a marathon, but not while you have a heavy school load OR maybe do it during school so that you don’t feel so sedentary. Just make sure you have time to sleep! I’m a digger, too. Fold and stacked chips= more flavor. OUCH! You put your elbow back in place yourself?! I cringe thinking about that. And my mouth waters thinking about all the squash and Justin’s PB cups. Time for second breakfast 🙂

Speaking of that, start training for a marathon. Once you’re in training, it’s no longer as scary. Search for a marathon at least 6 months away. That way you know you have the time to start slowly and still get there safely. 🙂

      Amen sister to folded chips.

I’m training for my first marathon right now, and like so many others, I previously said I would never do it. I’ve got a draft post on how marathon training has impacted my life, which I need to post. Cliffs notes version – prepare to cut something out of your life, and it doesn’t have to be something big (the things I’ve cut out are trivial anyway, don’t miss them), but you’ll need that extra time for training AND sleeping more! Other things that change: your appetite increases, your bedtime changes, and you feel like a champion almost all the time.

If you have the time to do it, DO IT! You never know when you’ll actually WANT to run a marathon again, why not take advantage now?

Folded chips rock! Ouchhhhhh on the elbow lady! And I just got the new iPhone shipped to me this week and I kind of don’t even want it because 1.) it’s HUGE and 2.) I was told I could send in my old phone and get $200 off, only to find out that the promotion expired a week after I ordered the phone and I needed to fill out some crap about wanting to exchange it by then (which was obviously never mentioned by the Verizon guy). That, is why I hate Verizon and think that they are shady characters. GRRRR. Anywho, have a great weekend! And I say go for that marathon!!! 🙂

I kind of want to run a marathon too but I’m also scared. I think you can DEFINITELY handle it. You run far more than I ever had. Mind over matter 😉 Also, I’m headed to the store this morning for some squash. I can’t wait to eat one of your recipes for dinner.

It does get chilly here. In the winter we get down in the 30F range, but that just means a heavier jacket is necessary. 🙂

I want to start training for bikini competitions but I don’t want to actually compete. I also want a room filled with coffee and chocolate. I bought an acorn squash to whip up this week and thought of you.

I think you should train AND compete…yes…you definitely should.

I quite enjoy that squash now makes you think of me.

Marathon. Go for it! You can do it. You gotta find a running club or running buddies. There’s no way, to have the will power, all by yourself to do the training. It’s much more fun to run with friends. And you won’t miss the workouts, if someone else is waiting for you.

I know what you mean about being afraid to run a marathon and school just taking up all of your time. Ugh! I think it’s awesome that you’re rocking older versions of electronics and getting their full use (although it is always nice to upgrade)! And yes, folded chips are the best!

I’m so excited for the red cups!! November 1 will be a good day 🙂 And I’m all about the folded chips too, especially for dipping. They’re SO much better at holding dip!

      YOU DISLOCATED YOUR ELBOW?
that gives me the willies just thinking about it…
I actually dislocated my shoulder on the soccer field on an awkward fall. Of course, me being the genius that I am decided to put it back in myself by slamming it against the goal post real quick. My mom’s face on the side line was priceless. I’m pretty sure that’s the day she for sure knew her “princess” was more of a prince lol

The Hubby is on a break for an entire week and we spent today hiking for hours and hours. I thought of you. We’d have to tussle over the folded chips too. I love those bad boys.

Confession: I just housed an entire strip of dot candy. It was good too.

I vote that you run a marathon! You can come to Columbus next October and run it with me! Columbus knows how to organize a marathon! 😉
I made butternut squash for the first time ever tonight. And I don’t think I had ever eaten it either! IT WAS SO GOOD!!!! This year was the first for eating AND making butternut squash and spagetti squash and I loved them both! I can’t decide which is my fave!

I’m rocking my iphone 4s lol – now I don’t feel quite as old school. Yes to curled chips, or chips at all – my confession? I’m constantly tired, and I’m going to nap from 8pm – 5am tonight. #bliss

I totally understand this. I did nutrition at university (college for you guys?) for 11 months back when I was 18 and I struggled so hard with the course mainly because I wasn’t enjoying it. Since getting back in touch with what I really want to do (photography!) and signing up to that at university I feel like Im much happier. Its about finding where you are happy and if you’re not happy find another path. Like you said – life is too short for stress!

      Sending love
