Posted at 7:19 AM by Brittany, on November 6, 2013

The support I received on my last post was amazing, and very appreciated. After reading through the comments and hearing some feedback, I think perhaps the post came off a bit heavier, or more depressing than I intended it to. Clearly my thoughts are still somewhat of a jumbled mess, and my transportation onto online paper was not a complete success. Overall my last post was meant to be a positive one. Despite some of the emotions I am still working through, I am optimistic and calm. I said I wasn’t good with these things!

After attending another amazing spin class last night I think my words may have come to me in a way that makes more sense. Long story short is this..when I was in those moments during spin where I was pushing my body to its limits I realized how resilient I really am. Mentally, physically, and emotionally. This was the first time in months I felt my life having some kind of order, and the best way to continue is with these small routines.

BOOM, OK I hope that came off more positive because despite the overwhelming support from my blog family on my last post, I did NOT want to be a Debbie downer! AIN’T no body got time fo dat! Now I want to list some things that make me happy. I want to puke rainbows and glitter in this post and make it disgustingly positive.

    • Leaf littered benches. Fall, you continue to steal my heart. ❤ swoon.

    20131105-195246

    • Balanced meals. It may be hard to believe with all the sweets I post, but this is the majority of what I eat. I don’t post my meals because they are boring, but man are they tasty. I would eat cupcakes all day if I could though..

    20130823-184323

    20120517-084828

    • Starbucks red cups. Everyone and their mom has posted about these, but my coffee really does taste so much better out of a holiday cup. It’s a scientific fact.

    20131105-195515

    • Spin. Well…duh.

    20130226-075133

    • COFFEE. I love everything about coffee, it just makes me feel so fuzzy inside and reminds me of crisp mountain mornings with a small layer of fog hiding the sun.
I think I'm going to talk to my boss about becoming a coffee master at work! WHOOOO!

I think I’m going to talk to my boss about becoming a coffee master at work! WHOOOO!

    • Cats. Call me crazy, but I feel like I’ve grown closer to my two cats the last 6 months. HAHA I have to laugh as I type that, but I am so serious! They are with me everywhere when I am home and they snuggle every night. It’s wonderful.

    • BLOG FRIENDS AND MY FAMILY! You all rock my socks and make me smile. Thanks for always hanging out with me during all my crazy blog shenanigans!

Q: What makes you most happy right now??

STARBUCKS RED CUPS! Oh lawd dont even get me started!!!! Starbucks does make the holidays better and coffee DOES taste better in those cups! ❤ ahhhh so much love for them. I should be one for HALLOWEEEN – omg, could you imagine?!??!! <— got a little sidetracked.

Fall, you wonderful beast you. I have so many "leaf" pictures on my phone and I need to refrain from instagraming. It's unnecessary and everyone has seen it before but it's just so freaking beautifulllll.

you da bomb dot com, and I think you should puke rainbows and glitter, cause that would be amazing and I would want to jump in your puke… <— GREAT pick up line 😀

I’m all for positive posts. Sometimes it’s just necessary to reflect on all the great things about life.
I’m not going to lie. I STILL had red cups at home from last year because I wanted to savour them throughout the year when they had gone away…but clearly I didn’t even use them all. Oopsy. Yes, I’m a Starbucks cup hoarder.
I love all the things that make you happy too. Twins.
Spin, coffee, fall, starbucks, friends, family, yep love it all.

I think we all have a tendency to sound slightly overdramatic on our posts at times. It’s hard to convey what’s going on in our heads in a way that someone other than us can understand. I’ve certainly written post that make me sound so down on myself when in reality, life isn’t that bad. So I gotcha 😉 Reading this made me 1) miss spinning x100000000 and 2) crave cupcakes. I wonder if I have time to run to Georgetown cupcakes during my lunch break today…

HAH! At least I’m not the only one who cannot write a post explaining themselves in the “right” way. Seriously, I have the worst trouble doing it, too! And I get what you are saying with finding the right “order” right now in your life. You feel complete and just in line with a schedule.

Coffee, fall, and starbucks make me happy along with Elmo, family, and nice hot bowl of oatmeal. PS. Love the fact you love pistachios! One of my all time favorite nuts which I believe never gets enough attention!

I’ve been cleaning up the leaves from my yard but refuse to clean them off my porch (which has built in benches) I just like the way it looks 😀 However I have to disagree about your boring eats.. They look pretty awesome to me! I can’t even admit how many times my meals up being almost all one color. blah!

Ohmygosh Brittany you would be the BEST coffee master!!! With your positive personality and upbeat energy, everyone would adore you. (Well okay, they do already!) I also read about a guy who became a Starbucks coffee master and then held taste testings one or two evenings a month where he’d talk about the history of the coffee and offer different pastries that paired well with its flavor. I could see you doing that too and being super successful!

I am so proud of you for finding joy and optimism while still sorting through thoughts and emotions. It takes a strong woman to do that! 🙂

WHOOOO I AM SO STOKED!! I can’t wait to read all about it! I hope the teacher is good and has good music because that makes a WORLD of difference. I’ve been to classes where the music sucked and I COULD NOT get into it!

I think it would be so cool if you became a coffee master! What all is involved in that?! If you do become one, I think it would be soo cool if you did a post (or series of posts) on your experience. I am clearly obsessed with your blog/Starbucks/coffee 😉

I know what you mean about becoming closer to your pets!! Not weird at all 🙂

There is like a 20hr training course I would go through to learn all about the coffee growing processes and different beans. Also lots of coffee tasting to be able to pick out different notes!! I would DEFINITELY share my experience!

COFFEE literally can make me happy any time and any where. Just the smell alone gets me. And I wish we had the pretty fall leaves falling here, but you know, its still in the 80s over here. Freaking stupid LA.

I think you should name every post Rainbows and Glitter. Titles like that make me happy. So does spinning. I am so freaking excited to go again next week and please, please share more photos of your meals. They are gorgeous. I want to jump into those plates of goodness preferably while sitting on that fall bench with a cat in my lap.

My daughter. Every single day she has a new feat to show me. She keeps me grounded and reminds me about what is really important without saying a word.

“I want to puke rainbows and glitter in this post and make it disgustingly positive.” Awesome attitude :)! I just caught up on your last post and I can relate so damn [excuse my language] well. Not going into it too much here – not interfering your idea of disgustingly positive 🙂 – but having been in the waiting game/job search for a few months now left me without a routine, too. And I don’t like that one bit. However, just like you I’m a huge fan of counting my everyday blessings. Great to know I’m not the only one who thinks leaf littered benches are so wonderful – don’t ask about the dozens of pictures I took of them recently. Also: Blog friends and family: <3!!!! The biggest blessing in life.
If i could somehow convince you to cook for me I'd be a happy girl. Not like your sweet treats you post weren't tempting but what you're calling "boring" meals looks so good to me. I totally wouldn't say no to you sharing some more of them for my own meal inspiration. Just saying.

i’m pretty sure that peppermint mocha is around all year at starbucks but i only drink them during the holiday season so that definitely makes me happy! as of last week, i made a promise that i will treat myself once a week to a peppermint mocha so that gives me something to look forward to at the end of each week.

and don’t even worry about your (last) post being heavy; i love that you shared some of your private thoughts in such an honest and raw manner. hope everything is working itself out because you deserve the best, lady!!

I don’t think it came across as heavy or depressing at all..just that clearly you struck a chord in a bunch of us! (Also my comment was kind of all about mememe. *blush* sorry)

ANY- what I really need to “say” is that ..all your pics are amazing, duh…but those pistachios literally made me pause and stare and maybe drool a bit. Look at how cool and beautiful they look!
