Thank you everyone for your input on my last post! If you’re at all interested in self hosting your blog, check out some of the comments! I know self hosting is my next step so stay tuned because I’m not sure exactly when it will happen! Now, onto today….
I went to a corn maze. It’s not officially fall until you visit the corn maze/pumpkin patch. Sadly, no ninja moves were allowed so I kept my nunchuks in my pocket.
Throughout the maze there were pumpkins with random paintings on them. My favorite was a self portrait of my child, equipped with a device for eating cereal, or ice cream.
The objective of the maze was to solve a riddle. Random letters were sprinkled all over the maze and we were to write the letters down onto a sheet of paper, and then unscramble.
S is for chicken.
Any guesses? I couldn’t figure it out and had to resort to Facebook for help. I don’t know how I passed third grade. After finding all the letters, I enjoyed the sun through the corn.

The farm also had chickens, goats, sheep, and one lone llama.
To wrap up my trip, I searched the pumpkin patch for the perfect pumpkin to bake.

When I went to pay for my pumpkin, the man did not know how to use the mobile device required for payment with a card. After asking him to find someone to help me, he asked me if I could wait a while. So I put the pumpkin back and I left. UGH I was so upset. Looks like I’ll just have to visit another pumpkin patch to get my pumpkin to bake!
Q: Have you been to a pumpkin patch or corn maze this year? Now I want to go apple picking!! I just don’t want to find any larva in my apples….eww…

the day that we planned to go was the day that i had to work so work royally fucked our annual visit to the patch! i told them to go anyway which was amazing for them but sucked for me because while i was stuck on stupid deployment calls, they were gallivanting around the patch having a grand ol’ time. #stillbitter

Footsteps!! My mom and I used to do the Word Jumble in the comics section of the newspaper every night. It was exactly like this! We took very different approaches: I imagined the different possibilities without saying anything aloud or writing them down (the moment I did, my mind closed to other possibilities!), whereas she did the exact opposite. So frustrating sometimes! But still so fun. 🙂

Ah so fun! We went to the pumpkin patch but no mazes this year- we have some pretty cutesy places in my hometown but I’ll JUST miss it on my next visit when I go home in November. Looks like you had a blast!

I live under a rock though, I am sure there are quite a few up north. My step dad made the first pumpkin pie of the season last night. Tis the season for pumpkin everything! 🙂 BTW, you look super cute and happy in your photos!

LAMMEEE that you couldn’t pay for your pumpkin, if that would have been me selling you the bad boy I would have given it to you for free. I am sure they can spare a pumpkin or too.. come on now 😉

I don’t think Australia has a pumpkin patch ANYWHERE for visitors…or none that I heard of. That is such a fun concept though- solving clues through a maze! All the best with the self hosting- its so worth it!

This looks like such fun!! They don’t have stuff like this around here. They do have pumpkin patches, but they are pretty much just in grocery store parking lots, and sometimes they have little petting zoos. LAME!

I haven’t been to either this year… the weather just started cooling down (although it’s going to get hot again next week) and it just hasn’t felt like fall. I had friends take their kids to a corn maze and they sweat their asses off. Fall isn’t being kind to FL this year! Hope you go apple picking soon 🙂

I really want to go to a corn maize! We have one about 30 minutes away – in the absolute middle of no where – and I’ve only ever been at night. I think it would be fun to go during the day though 🙂 Also, I still haven’t gone apple picking. I think tomorrow is the last day for it at the apple farm I go to 😦 We may make it out there after church but who knows! 🙂 Love the pictures as always! I hope you get to go apple picking!!

There is a pumpkin patch that doesn’t allow ninja moves?! That’s ridiculous and it’s probably for the best you didn’t get a pumpkin from there. It would have been so non-ninja-y. Boooooring!

I love the corn maze! Ours right now is this haunted corn maze that’s terrifying, so I’m opting out of attending until AFTER Halloween. The pumpkin patches in town, however, are completely normal and nice. I HAVE been to those, and they are fabulous.

I was supposed to go to a local corn maze with my church, but the weather was bad (rain + wind + cold), so we had to cancel. Poop. I do need to visit a pumpkin patch though!
