Yesterday I went for a run. Nothing crazy, just a run. No record breaking distance or speed..JUST a RUN! Well it was hard. So hard in fact that I needed to drink my entire mini water bottle by the end of a measly three mile run.
The difficulty of this run could have been for one of three reasons:
1. It was hot out. And by hot I mean like 64, but the sun was BEATING on my skin!
2. Aunt Flo is here. That bitch always zaps my energy.
3. I was tied to a fishing pole and someone was reeling me in each step I took.
The last one sounds about right.
After I got home from my run, I noticed someone got a new bed.
Where’s my new bed!? This kitty king palace was $30!! Seriously that is like $1000 in human money and I could get a nice bed for that price. This is actually a dog bed, but shh don’t tell them. My furry felines we given this bed for one of three reasons:
1. They are princes of my house and get whatever they want.
2. They get cat hair on the couches so in attempt to stop that, they now have their own couch.
3. They brainwashed my mom and today she will be coming home with fresh salmon and string toys from Europe.
I’m going to say all of the above.
Lastly, in the evening I went to a spin class. Before I went I had some of this.
My spin class was so epic, I swore at any moment my bike was going to come off the stable indoor docking and I was going to be riding through mystical forests filled with shirtless centaurs that looked like Adam Levine. The class was SO good, that I was dripping sweat. There was one point where I saw the drops fall..plop, plop, plop..tic tac toe three in a row. It was like the Amazon Rainforest was leaking off my face.
This sweat dripping, energy pounding class could have been for one of three reasons:
1. The liquid green crack brought so much oxygen to my blood cells that I couldn’t use it fast enough.
2. I chose a broken bike with easier gears than the rest, making me think I was at a level 17 when in reality it was the equivalent of a level 5.
3. I am a beast.
I’m going to say one and three are probably legit. This was the same day as that bum run, so something must have kicked in to give me some energy.
While I know I get a ton of chlorophyll (not to be confused with chloroform) from the leafy greens I eat, I wanted to try to get even more. This plant based product is known to mimic hemoglobin and assist in bringing oxygen to your blood cells, carry carcinogenic properties OUT of your body, and boost energy naturally!! I’m going to continue to test it out on runs and spinning, and I hope it helps my energy levels! Ok well that’s enough for one day!
Q(s):
- Does anyone else judge a hard workout by the drops of sweat on the floor?
- Anyone ever tried liquid chlorophyll?

I’m glad that rockin’ spin class cancelled out your bum run! Go you, with your badass sweat droplets. 😉
pickyrunner
Boo for a not so great run. It makes you appreciate the good ones though! I really need to get on the spin bandwagon- it seems like I’m the only one not doing it!
Alex @ therunwithin
I am going to say the beast one makes the most sense.
gillian
I HATE when I have a crappy run – but in some ways they are refreshing because it makes me appreciate great runs so much more.
And there is nothing better than having an epic spin class. I went to one last night, too!

“My spin class was so epic, I swore at any moment my bike was going to come off the stable indoor docking and I was going to be riding through mystical forests filled with shirtless centaurs that looked like Adam Levine.” –> haha. That CRACKED ME UP!!!
And yes, you are a beast!
Megan
HAHAH When I saw this I was like um won’t she pass out… don’t people use that to drug others… I am glad you cleared that up for us. I have stopped taking supplements (minus gummy vitamins) so I have never tried this guy. This week I am about to polish off a bag of mustard greens, kale, AND arugula spring mix so I’d say my dark leafy green quota is met this week.
meganjanicke
Where do you get the Chlorophyll? I have not seen that before.
Brittany
I would check any health food like store around you. Whole Foods, or even a smaller mom and pop type shop. If not Super Supplements is always a good bet too.
meganjanicke
Cool thanks!

Chlorophyll?! More like borophyll! Sorry I couldn’t resist haha (Please tell me you know my reference). And No, I haven’t tried it before but I would definitely be willing to give it a shot after seeing how your body reacted to it. And yes, the sweatier I get, the better the workout, for sure!
Brittany
OHh my gosh you would just do a Billy Madison reference, WHY did I not think of that. GENIUS! HAHA
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I’m sorry but you lost me at shirtless centaurs that look like Adam Levine. I’d even be willing to look past the lower half if the upper half is that gorgeous. But seriously? Chlorophyll did THAT? Yowza. I’ve had a bottle of it sitting in my fridge for what seems like ages now because my mom has been raving about it… for what seems like ages now… but I’ve been kind of leery on trying it out. Might just have to break out the green crack though and see if it’s legit…
foods for the soul
I’ve never tried chlorophyll, but… As a chemist, I worked with chloroform on a daily basis! (It was what we analyzed all of our compounds in. We didn’t knock anybody out with it or anything dangerous, I promise!)
Allison @ Life's a Bowl
I never have tried liquid chlorophyll and never knew that even existed… Not sure I can hop on that bandwagon but that just means there will be more for you 😉 And for heavens sake, when will someone ever come out with a comfy spin bike seat?!
Nicole @ FruitnFitness
I’m glad you enjoyed your run even though it was hard. Sometimes I think a workout is hard but I’m not really sweating and other times I’m soaked and feel like I didn’t really get in a good workout.
kepotts
Ha, you are cracking me up! I sometimes feel like I’m tied to a fishing pole while I’m running, especially when Flo pays a visit! And I love sweating, I feel like a total bada$$ if there is sweat flying off me…classy 🙂
Leesa D
Sounds like my run on Tuesday was like yours yesterday. Kinda brutal.
As for the sweat, if I can wring out my headband by the end of my workout then I know it was a great one.
Nikki
I definitely can get that way, usually the week before Aunt Flo arrives!
That cat picture makes me so happy! You have no idea. Spoiled kitties rule! haha
Alex @ Cookie Dough Katzen
I’m always judging my workout by my sweat. I sweat a lot and I hate going to a workout class and leaving without being sweaty. Just feels like a waste!
Brittany @ GOtheXtraMile
I hate Aunt Flo, she’s a ho. hahaa 😉 I am so glad you don’t get chloroform from veggies.
Erin
I’ve never tried liquid chlorophyll and definitely judge a workout by sweat
Hayley
Aunt Flo is such a pain when I try to work out (and all the time for that matter). Hate that lady, but I would hate it even more if it didnt come. And my dogs get treated like absolute royalty at my house – my mom spends more time preparing their meals than mine. Not fair.
kathy @ vodka and soda
interesting take on the chlorophyll…. i used to take chlorella tablets but then stopped because i got lazy. i still have them somewhere… maybe i’ll dig them out and try them again since i’m now miss.fitness.
i will definitely try liquid chlorophyll to boost energy. i tried one of my husband’s endurance gels before a workout and that was like snorting cocaine because i did that tabatas/kettlebell class like freaking beast.
Melissa @ Mouthwatering Morsel
dannng girl. gettin’ that workout in. hahaha and 30$?! wowwza!! haha I would of just made one for them for $10
Khushboo Thadani (@KhushbooThadani)
Say no to Aunt Flo- she is an evil woman ;)! You are one sweaty beast and I won’t lie- the more I sweat during a workout, the more bad ass I feel…even if it’s just a result of poor air conditioning at the gym ;)!
Jan @ Sprouts n Squats
Your cat is too cute!
Yep I feel hard core when sweat drips on the floor 🙂
Brennan
I feel like a total champ when I look at the splatter of sweat I leave behind. Proof I worked hard. Totally worth a picture!
Rach @ This Italian Family
Bahaha! Hilarious about the cat bed! Love that your cats are so spoiled. 😉 Also, sorry the run was so rough. That’s no fun. 😦 Though you did make me laugh with your 3rd reason for what the run was so difficult. 😉
Sarah @ Feeeding the Brain and Body
I’ve never had nor even heard of liquid chlorophyll! I’ve always wanted to try a spin class, it is about time I actually try one!! I love it when I sweat hard enough that the sweat drips, rarely happens though (I don’t sweat much, maybe I should hydrate more?)
Ja @Ja on the RUN
Hi Britt! Thanks for visiting my blog! 🙂 Really appreciate it. 🙂
Glad you enjoyed your run yesterday. I did a 3 mile run too last night. Like yours, nothing crazy too 🙂
I’ve never heard of liquid chlorophyll! Hmmm.. that’s interesting. Thanks for sharing.
myhighonlife
first off-Adam Levine: SWOON. I am beyond in love with him. Time to go daydream.
second-the (not to be confused with chloroform) made me chuckle.
third-sweat beasts unite! i do that frequently..but i sweat like a dude.
happy Friday!! ❤
Heather
I love seeing how sweaty the front of my treadmill can get… just as long as the hubby is the one to clean it, haha!
So I see you’re relying on blood doping these days, haha, JK! The chlorophyll definitely peaks my interest. I’ll have to look into that 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

I think you were still flyin’ when you wrote this post – much to the enjoyment of your readers. Can I tell you – Ike (our sweety-boy-munchkin-dog) – has (count ’em) six beds. Kel and I have one. Hmmmm…

shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! quit telling people about the mystical land of shirtless Adam Levine Centaurs! I really don’t feel like sharing with anyone except you… And even sharing with you is pretty tough!!
Rebecca@Running.Food.Baby.
I am a sweat machine – always sweating, even with the smallest of workouts. But yeah, I like to sweat it up on runs and it feels great!
sincerelylily
beeeeeeast mode = you.
I have never tried this liquid magic you speak of…. but since you had good luck with it perhaps ill try. Shirtless Adam L…. thank you for that mental image. i owe you one. Running in the heat is SUCH A DIFFERENCE! Finally I had a semi-warmer run the other day and it was amazing. I sweated a lot which hasn’t happened ine like 67 years.
I also smelled really bad.
letsgetupandlive
Centaurs looking like Adam Levine, you say???! I think I need to give spinning a try asap ;).Only I might fall off the bike if envisiong Adam …
Haha, your kitten are enviable for sure. Did they give up on capturing the couches to show their thankfulness :)?
noshingonasphalt
There are so many reasons this post is epic. But I can’t lie, it was the thought of shirtless centaurs that gave me the biggest laugh! Oh and the crappy run, it was definitely because of option 3. Damn invisible fishermen.
P
Chlorophyll drops sound like they’d work wonders! I can’t believe I haven’t tried them sooner. I think I may have seen a bottle at Trader Joe’s before, unless I’m mixing that up with GNC :P!
moderngirlnutrition
Aww your kitty is SO cute! Good job on the workout!
jessielovestorun
I always felt like the hardest & toughest workouts are the ones that are the most meaningful, and powerful to me.
Amy @ A Desert Girl
Loving the sweat drops. You are a beast.
Speaking of beasts, Adam Levine is a sexy one.
I want to try the liquid beast potion. Gonna have to get some.
katalysthealth
Yep, Im all about the sweat droplets!! Although it takes me about 5 minutes of running to get a serious sweat on, so I probably really shouldn’t use it as a gage, but I do really love being sparkly 🙂
di @ life of di.
Wow! I had no idea what the benefits of liquid chlorophyll were 🙂 I see it on our shelves at Whole Foods but I never bothered to find out what it did for the body! I may have to invest 😉
Lindsay @ The Functional Foodie
I sweat ridiculously easy, so it is hard for me to measure my workout by sweat lol. It is the worst trait of my body to do that. Hate it. Usually my face gets beet red when I’ve worked out hardcore, so that is how I measure it. Your cat is soooo cute btw!!
dedy oktavianus pardede
I’m not a type of person with suplement,
my lecture approved by his reseach that most of the suplement, herbal and diet supplement contain tiroxin,
enzim that accelerate metabolism, make you burn your energy fastest, sweating and tachicardi…..
be carefull my friend…
Brittany
Oh I am not a supplement fan either!! I only used this because it’s naturally found in green vegetables!! You get chlorophyll if you eat the greens, this is just the liquid form that has been extracted from the greens!
The herbal and diet pills are NOT good and I do not take them! Thanks for the concern!
The Healthy Flavor
Ok, Brittany, can I just tell you that you are like the funniest person ever on a blog! I absolutely enjoy reading your blog. Your sense of humor is infectious. Your cat is too cute in its new bed! I died laughing reading about your bicycle supplement induced ride….hahaha!!
emi
haha aunt flo is visiting me too, so i feel you on that one.
love your blog! XO welltraveledwife.com
Rachel @ Undercover Diva: A Sitcom
I laughed out loud about the description of a forest filled with Adam Levine -like centaurs. Hilarious! I secretly love seeing the sweat drip on the porch/ground/bathroom floor when I finish a run and am stretching out/getting ready to shower. It’s disgustingly awesome.
Alex @ Brain, Body, Because
I get a ton of chlorophyll (not to be confused with chloroform)
hahahaha! This totally made me laugh out loud.
Aunt Flo is the worst and makes me crazy 😦
sugarcoatedsheridan
Your sweat drop is a little gross but I am in love with your mad beast skills on your spin bike! I’ve never even heard of liquid chlorophyll but I’m googling it right now 🙂
Pollen & Wax
I’m totally getting on the chlorophyll bandwagon too! So much fun stuff to try…just last week I taught myself to sprout! (Beans, that is, not polyps.)
Meghan@CleanEatsFastFeets
Man you’re funny be because:
1. You do funny cat pictures and posts
2. You photograph your sweat
3. You drink green crack.
Luv What You Do
I ate aunt flo…she takes my energy and stomps on it!!!
We got our old cat a new and semi expensive bed (around ~$20) and she never used it. She preferred big paper GAP bags : )
