Posted at 5:00 AM by Brittany, on October 10, 2016

    1. I write this post from a place of pure joy and content. I have no school related tasks for five whole days, and I assure you those five days will be like finding the golden ticket to Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory.

    (RIP Gene Wilder.)

    2. I’ve had a handful of runs lately that have left me feeling like a gazelle gallivanting through green grass. I was house sitting in one of my favorite towns, and a fun town means fun runs.

    img_0823

    3. Foggy tree lines, rainy evenings, mugs of cinnamon tea, colors of orange and brown, leaves of red and yellow. Fall is here, fall is here, FALL IS HERE!

    4. My mouth has fully boarded the squash train, and I’ve been having daily sweet potatoes slathered with some kind of fat (coconut oil, or nut butter), but I’m still showing mad love to the not so common fall themed foods.

    img_0840

    5. I’ve recently become a pleasure reader. I struggle to stay focused at times, and am currently reading two books at once (something I swore I could never do), but there is beauty in finding free time to read because you want to and not because you have to.

    6. I haven’t created anything new for my “What I’d Sell In My Food Truck” page in a while, but I busted out an old favorite and got my face dirty with my chocolate avocado pudding.

    IMG_0123

    7. My work building is located about 1.75 miles from the ferry I take that drops me into Seattle. On Thursday’s I walk from work to the ferry, and have recently decided to run. Last Thursday I was reminded what it’s like to be winded. Seattle is not a flat city. My ferry was late forcing me to run another 1.25 miles rounding my distance to 3 miles. #OCD miles.

    8. This. You need this in your life. Go to the store yesterday and buy this. My goodness I cannot stop.

    img_0870

    9. I recently saw a pair of underwear with a Star Wars theme. The backside of the garment had the iconic phrase, “may the force be with you.” On the rear. The buttock. The fanny. I’m not sure how I feel about that.

    10. While out for a casual stroll I stumbled upon a hat. A green hat. A free hat. My new hat. The hat looks good on the cat.

    Q: What’s your confession?

OMG yussss. My saint of a mother made the most delicious carrot and butternut squash soup last week. I ate the huge vat in two days. It was like dessert soup. So bomb. Happy Thanksgiving!

I confess to drinking a beer for the first time in my life this weekend. At 27 years old, I call that a pretty big moment in my life 😉 Ok so it was a Redd’s Apple Ale, but that counts – kind of. Right? 😉

The hat looks good on the cat, but the cat doesn’t look happy in the hat. Maybe it’s the color? Cats are supposed to be color blind, but my cats never confessed to that!

I’ve also gotten back into reading for fun! I have 2 books I’m working on now, mostly because one is the Amy Schumer book, which I got through the library (so I gotta get it done!).

As for confessions…I haven’t been into hiking lately. The chilly, cloudy weather just kills my desire to get out there! Time for a shopping trip to find some workout clothes that are better for fall!

I’m currently reading Wild by Cheryl Strayed and Into the Wild about Alex Supertramp. I think I secretly want to go on a solo trip into the woods where I can possibly get lost or feed myself to the bears. I better get me some of that Olive Bruschetta. Do you guys feel double accomplished when reading two books at once?

I’ve not yet read Wild, but I cheated and watched the movie. Such an amazing story. Talk about guts. I like reading two because it breaks it up for me if I need a change of scenery with one book to the next haha.

I am a WIMP when it comes to hilly runs! I lived in the flattest city ever (okay, slight exaggeration, but only slight!) where the only “hills” were freeway overpasses for 6+ years, and I became completely spoiled… Anything with an incline now feels like torture! 😉

My confession: I’ve never recreated anything from your recipe page. Trust me, I’ve wanted to, but I always seem to be missing some of the ingredients. Now that’s mostly because I’m not a vegan, but even assuming that I could swap out most of the fancier ingredients (some of which are just hard to come by in a German supermarket) for the regular variety, there’s still always something. I came very close to attempting the avocado pudding you mentioned above today, because I realised while reading that I do have an avocado in. However, it’s not exactly over ripe, and I don’t have any chia seeds.
      …one day, I swear!

No this is an Ayurvedic Cleanse. 4 days of healthy foods meant to ease your body into neutral. 7 days of kitchari (super healthy but boring after 7 days) and then 4 days of foods meant to build up your inner fire and get you back on track.

I love your new hat, and I am digging the Fall action too. I pulled the extra blanket out of the linen closet last night and I don’t hate it.

It took me a while to come to pleasure reading but it was great once I got there. Sometimes it’s like watching a movie in so far as the escapism and stepping into a different world. But my confession is I’ve read like one book in the past 4-5 months. Hoping to un-rut that rut soon though!
