  • My List

Posted at 10:18 AM by Brittany, on April 8, 2013

One of my favorite bloggers, Shira, wrote a post a while ago about daily happiness. I decided to follow suit and make a list of my own simple things that bring me daily happiness. This list comes in handy for me on days that I feel down, bored, or just want to relax.  It’s such a versatile list of things that can be done almost anytime, anywhere.

    My list of happiness

    • A good run.

    20130408-091448

    • Pampering myself.
A Biore strip and a hot bath.

A Biore strip and a hot bath.

    • A long walk outside with nature.

    20130328-095641

    • Reading a book, or watching a movie.
It's amazing how excited I was to watch this movie..at the age of 24.

It’s amazing how excited I was to watch this movie..at the age of 24.

    • Making a good meal.

    20120403-092336

    • Baking something new.

    20130320-112024

    • Spending time with the ones I love.

    20130408-091717b46280_10151142401984765_5735588_n

    • Yoga.

    20130101-091127

    • Making a craft.

    20130408-091706

    • Doing something for someone else.

    Iphone 460

This list could go on and on and on…but I will stop with the top ten. Making yourself happy doesn’t have to be hard. Next time you want a jolt of happy juice adrenaline, think about what you can do to pick yourself up, or make yourself (or someone else) smile.

Q: What’s on your happy list?

    b

This reminds me of that one book that I read ‘Reasons to be Happy’ by Katrina Kittle. You should read it.

Love this list… esp your facial expression during giving blood. Good thing Manfriend is not a vampire or a mosquito human.

I want to come visit and have you make me brusselsprout plates like whoa. They always look so tasty in your posts! Then we can run and fart together a lot because that is what happens when you eat little trees of fiber.

My list of happiness is basically yours, minus the cats and add stationary. I loooooove cards, letters, and all that stuff. I collect it like an old lady .

I can’t even tell you how much I adore this post – don’t be surprised if I ninja the happiness list idea and do a similar one! Some things that would definitely be on mine would be reading, baking (and eating the treats!!), walks outside, being lazy and spending an afternoon playing video games, pampering myself, sunshine, and making other people smile. Actually, that last one is probably my favorite – there’s almost no better feeling than being able to put a smile on someone else’s face.

Yes I sure am giving blood! The one time I was successful. I’ve had quite the adventure when it comes to donating blood…

I have super tiny veins (according to the blood banks) and the first time I went they turned me down. So I tried again and the process was successful, but took twice as long as “normal.” That’s the picture you see above. I was jazzed it worked so I went back a third time and my iron was too low (good lord.) SO I tried ONE more time just a few weeks ago and I was in the chair for 30minutes (once the needle is in it should take about 10-15min max) and my bag wasn’t even halfway full. The guy kept moving the needle around and it was so uncomfortable. Finally after 30 min he said we had to stop and it wasn’t good to have it take this long. I was so bummed, cause the blood they took couldn’t be used. I also have an awesome bruise (still!) that’s lasted for over 2 weeks. Sadly, I won’t be donating anymore..I think three strikes means I’m out haha.

However!! I really think you should go donate! Only 5% of the population donates, according again to the blood bank! How sad! So go give your life force! It’s only scary until the needle is in, but it’s a good kind of scary..haha!

oo wow!! I know I have slow moving blood (according to the woman who took it the last time I got blood work lol) but I’ve really wanted to donate. I can’t believe only 5% of the population donates! That’s really insane… next time they have a donation around me I’ll look into it! 🙂
