Posted at 9:38 AM by Brittany, on January 11, 2013

My trip to Arizona was a short but sweet ten days. I had a lot of fun with family, running, eating, and adventuring. I rode on a train, I ran on new streets, and I tasted my first Moscato. For the things I haven’t mentioned, here are some bullet points for easy viewing.

    • I watched horses dance like people.
    • I ate garden grown spinach the size of my hand.

    Iphone 591

    • I ran 26 miles in unknown flat land. The best part about running in Arizona is the lack of hills. It felt like a vacation from running too.
    • I tried new food.

    Iphone 588

    • I ate at Pei Wei.

    Iphone 594

    • I watched a new blogger blossom. My younger brother has started a blog, and I had a blast being around to watch him write a post.
    • I had awesome family time.

I’ve been home for five days, and am missing the flat roads of Arizona. Running on hills is supposed to make you a better runner..right? It’s good to be home.

By the way, I have become completely engrossed by Instagram. I think the only bandwagon I just can’t get on is Twitter. At the rate I am going I will have a Twitter by the end of the year. Ugh.

Q: Do you have all the bells and whistles of social media? I just can’t do it..

Twitter is one of those things that is only interesting if you follow a bunch of people! Otherwise I can understand the lack of amusement. I’m glad you had such an awesome time.

I can’t get into Twitter either. I rarely ever tweet, but do have it linked to my blog’s Facebook page. It seems like most people (with websites) that tweet link it to their FB, and also link their Instagram to FB and Twitter, so it all connects. I enjoy Instagram a lot! I don’t think I’ll ever get into Twitter though.

Twitter overwhelms me. Just looking at it. IG…well I don’t have exciting or pretty things to take pictures of! I want to do both because other people seem in love with them! That spinach is so amazing! I’m glad you had a good visit and safe travels. Coming home to your love is the best though, isn’t it?

Welcome home! I just started following you on Instagram! Yay! And you sound just like me- I’ve sworn off Twitter for so long because I just can’t deal, but now I’m considering taking the plunge because my friend told me that Jason Bateman has a twitter page and she follows him and apparently he’s hilarious. That’s a hard thing to look away from, but then again, it seems like a giant pain in the butt. We’ll see. 🙂 Glad you had a great trip!

do twitter. I’m glad youre on instagram though so now I can’t be too picky about your other social media uses. 🙂 I’m glad you had a fantastic time in Arizona. Those sound like 26 blissful miles. We have a ton of hills here too and I’m always like…. nooooo. It’s those slow gradual incline hills that get you!

I used to think Twitter was so stupid but then I started following bloggers and athletes and people who inspired me and now I’m hooked. It also just landed me a gift package of 4 protein shakes and 6 protein bars just from tweeting! Not a bad bandwagon to be on if you ask me.

I must follow you on Instagram now 🙂

Sounds like you had a fab trip, Britt- woo! If you’re going to get addicted to one social media outlet, Instagram is the way forward :)! Besides that I love Twitter & Facebook. As for Pinterest, that’s one outlet which I haven’t sold out to yet, and don’t plan to either!

Wow your bro started a blog?! Gotta read! I’m gonna go read it after I finish this comment! That huge spinach looks GLORIOUS and so does the Pei Wei food. I have to say, Moscato and I aren’t friends. It’s just way too sweet for me! I’m glad you enjoyed your runs! Runs in places you aren’t used to are definitely a wonderful escape. Instagram is DA BOMB but I resisted it for so long. I bet you will eventually get on Twitter…and love it 😉 no pressure tho!

Garden grown spinach sounds incredible to me. Maybe one day I’ll have a fancy veggie garden and can grow some on my own!
I’m notoriously terrible with social media, and technology in general. I only use Twitter and Pinterest and I don’t go crazy with them. I don’t get the appeal of Instagram…and I deleted my Facebook over a year ago and have never looked back. I like using my phone to talk to people. 🙂

For everyone’s information, there are no hills in arizona…. only mountains and vallys. Last time britt came she tried running up the mountain next to our house and had a rather unpleasent encounter with a cactus. She has not gone on the mountain since.

Oh my gosh, I have an all black cat too. I think we may be brothers from another mother.

I haven’t gotten involved in any other form of social media other than the blog and Pinterest, which is really just recipe storage and dirty jokes for me. I actually have an entire life outside my blog and I’m afraid Twitter and Instagram would derail it. As it is, I spend entirely too much time in front of computer screens. So I haven’t made the big leap yet and I’m not sure I really want to either. Does that make me a bad blogger?
