If I were more of a crafty fashionista I would use this title as a blog URL. Actually I couldn’t because I just Googled it and this blog name is already taken, so I will just use it as a title. Lately I have been clothes shopping a lot. By a lot I mean like 3 times. THAT IS A LOT for me. I never shop..I hate it. I hardly find anything I like, and when I do it’s workout gear.
I own ONE pair of jeans, and these are frumpy jeans that I wore to work at TJ’s because leggings just weren’t going to cut it at this job. I kept the jeans in case I ever need to do yard work or something messy. I don’t do jeans, I just don’t. While shopping the other day I found the most adorable pair of skinnies. I bought them, and have worn them like everyday. I also found a dress that brought out my inner grandma and fell in love with the sleeves.
I had to snap a picture to prove that I was in fact born with two X’s. I just love those sleeves! Oh I also wanted to make up for the barbaric photo’s from yesterdays post! HA!
More importantly, I am officially addicted and made a late night trip to The Bearded Lady. I went with the idea of getting ONE cupcake. I should have known, what a joke..ONE?!
So I left with two cupcakes and a brownie. I wasn’t alone though, never do stealth operations alone.

HATE HATE shopping for clothes. i don’t own a pair of jeans for that reason. I hope one day i can get better at it and enjoy it more

Thing is, I used to LOVE to shop. Loved it. Now – ugh. I think for me it’s because I’m at that weird and awkward crossroads between Anthropologie/Urban Outfitters/The Gap and Chicos. I refuse to wear anything Chico, yet I don’t want to look like that 46 year old who refuses to acknowledge that she’s not 16 any more. Luckily for me, most of my time is spent on the ranch where looking “nice” is just stupid. Hence, Carhartts jeans, t-shirts from past races and a cheap fleece from Old Navy.

My mom loves Chico’s, but she is almost 60! I think you could totally pull of The Gap and Anthropologie. I can’t even pull off some of the stuff at Urban Outfitters, although I did have a shirt that I wore maybe twice that said, “vegetarians taste better.” yeah…thank god I gave that away.
Your ranch attire sounds WAY better than any of these places anyway! I live in old race shirts and cheap shit.

I’m sorry, what were you saying? Those cupcakes kind of made my mind go blank… Holy.wow I want that brownie. ANYWHO! I used to hate shopping for clothes, but I think I’ve gotten better over the years. I’m not the biggest fan of jeans, but I have to admit that a nice pair that fits you just right (alongside a pair of gorgeous heels) is definitely a confidence booster.

I hate shopping. I get so frustrated when nothing fits me! I wear jeans all the time but I’ve had them for so long, a lot of them are getting really worn out. That’s the problem with being an athlete, I guess. But I would definitely go shopping if it meant rewarding myself with cupcakes after 😉

OMG, you are super cute in that lacy number! I can go thru phases with shopping, but I do usually end up with workout clothes and leggings and zip up hoodies. Recently I bought a pair of boots—that was a big deal, I’m awful at footwear (outside of flops).
