Saturday I went to Seattle with my mom.
We rode on this.
We sat up top, there was no heating, and middle aged women were talking louder than a howler monkey. The bus took us to Seattle to shop, so shop we did. Naturally the highlight of my shopping experience was the food. The Veggie Grill just opened up their second Washington location, which happened to be right where we were shopping. YES!
If you live in Southern California, Northern California, Oregon, or Washington I suggest you eat here. It’s an all vegan restaurant, but don’t let that scare you. It’s delicious. Don’t believe me? Well I have some pictures that speak for themselves.
I would like to thank my mom for capturing my true beauty in these photos. I clearly have no shame, and will do whatever it takes to convince my readers of a good foodie find. This place was good. Oh and in case anyone wants to know what I was eating, it was this.
The bus ride home was filled with those same middle aged women, drunk, and dancing on the lower level of the bus. They are lucky I was sober or I would have pulled out my dance moves and their jaws would have hit the floor. I look identical to this guy when I bust a move. My hero is JT too.
To Cliff Note this post I’ll say: I hung out with my mom for an entire day, I rode a double decker English bus, I froze, I ate a delicious vegan burger, and I experienced drunk older women. I slept well that night.
Q: Have you ever ridden on/in a funky vehicle?

HAHAHAHAHHAHAA OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!! This has to be the best post EVER. Your description of those women on the bus made me die, and that burger play by play? AMAZINGNESS. Pure amazingness. I have a feeling I’d look like a small rabid forest rodent too if I got my lips on that glorious burger! 😀

I did some sight seeing on double decker buses. Those can be fun 🙂
Maria @ Little Miss Cornucopia
Awesome!! I love the way you devoured that burg!! I mean look at that thing..how could you not? No shame 😀 I’ve always wanted to ride on a double decker – I see them around town sometimes yet haven’t had to chance to ride one boo lol. Oh, and I love that 3rd pic of you btw!
Hahahha the pictures of you made me laugh. I love it 🙂
hahahahaha omg I love those pictures LOL! It’s like a flip book 😀 I’ve actually heard of Veggie Grill– they should open one in NY 😉

Alex @ therunwithin
now all i want is a burger. I blame you
Hey so what tour is that cause it sounds like a fun ass time! Seriously…oh and may have to take Mel to the veggie grill, sounds up her alley!
It was a one time thing, you’ll have to catch it next year! It’s through Harrison hospital as a fundraiser!
Priceless pictures hahaha
Brittany @ GOtheXtraMile
Hahaha you seriously crack me up. Love the pics, and I really want to see you dance like that dude. I would have loved to ride that bus, how cool!!
HAHAHA. This looks like such an optimal weekend and glad you had a lot of fun. Man if I visit Seattle I want to go!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Ahahahha! Oh man, I’m not even a big burger fan, but your amazing play-by-play has got me craving one. Love you! And I’m kind of jealous that you got to ride on a double decker bus. I’ve never had the pleasure, and I swear part of the reason I want to visit London so bad is -just- so I can ride one myself.
Alex @ Brain, Body, Because
No heat?! wtfs?!
There’s a restaurant in Pittsburgh that has an amazing veggie burger, too. It’s topped with avocado, cheese, tomato, pickles, creamy sauce and a MF fried egg. MESSY DELICIOUSNESS!
HA! I saw thesepictures at work and laughed..! Looking good 🙂
Momma daughter trips are the absolute best

Hahaha my friend you and your mum are priceless 🙂

HAHAHAHA OMG that sequence of you eating that burger is hilarious 🙂 I feel like we need to hang out 😉
also I have also ridden in one of those bad boys…too much fun!
When John Stewart came to DC a few summers ago my friends and I caught a double decker tour bus into the city because the metro was SOOOOO bogged down with tourists you couldn’t even get to the platform. We paid $20 for a 5 minutes ride (was unwalkable, boo hiss). This burger looks amazing and honestly your page makes me miss eating veggie and vegan goods. I will have to have a paleoish day soon and have a glorious pig out at a vegan joint! Glad you guys had fun!
Abby @ Change of Pace
Great photo series! That burger actually looks insane! We’ll have to go there next time we’re in one of those places.
You have made my morning! Thanks for the laugh! The burger looks awesome. 🙂
Hahahaha I love these pictures! Looks like a blast!!

We visited Seattle over the summer and I LOVED it. I really wish I lived somewhere in the Pacific Northwest. It’s definitely my favorite area in America 🙂 So beautiful and so much to do. PS – That burger looks amazing and I wish we had more vegetarian/vegan restaurants in Columbus!
1. I road on a bus that goes into water and turns into a boat.
2. Um…you’re puuurrrrdy
3. You make messy eating look adorable.
4. I miss my nose ring now.

Luv What You Do
I have only been to Seattle once and I loved it. I really hope to get back. What a fun thing to do with your Mom! We did a bus tour in London and got pulled over by a policeman on a bike. It was pretty funny to see!
That burger looks amazing!! Love the pictures, by the way, too!! 😉
Seriously I just about wet myself looking at that photo series of you and that burger. Classic.
Ha Ha, love the photos! Your mom really did a great job at capturing the perfect shots! =) Glad the two of you had such a fun day together, girl.
Hahahahah best pic of you smothering that burger! That looks seriously delicious and you have convinced me to start a hunt for a vegan cheeseburger- YUM! The funkiest vehicle I have ever ridden (or at least that comes to mind) is an English taxi which was painted with a Reeses wrapper….would you judge me if I said that it sparked a chocolate craving ;)!
Yeah man, kill that burger!
Oh my, that was hilarious. Thanks for sharing! Guess I need to venture up to the Veggie Grill!
GiGi Eats Celebrities
OMFG – I about fainted when I saw your BURGER EATING PHOTOS BECAUSE I thought you were eating MEAT!!!! I was going to fly on over to your house and grill you up a steak to welcome you back to the carnivore side, LOL!!!! But alas, I then read you were at Veggie Grill. Tis okay though, you still get to eat like an animal and I LOVE IT!!! I eat just like you: Pick up food (even if it ‘s soup) with hands… shove in face… get half of the food in my mouth… lick hands… and dive in for more!!! YES!
Well for the record I was NOT one of those drunk women. I was laughing so hard at Britt’s reaction to all of that LOLOLOL. There were 2 other 20 something girls on board but they were in the back and Britt and I were just playing hang man, in between her comments of the women. I have to say, I don’t think I’d do that again with them either LOLOL. But the bus would be a blast to rent with people we really know and have fun with.
She was yelling at me for taking so many pictures of her eating, but I don’t think I’ve seen her so ‘in heaven’ eating before. I was sort of stunned and had to get every moment on film. Bwahahahahahaha.
hahahahah! You are too funny! And I’m obsessed with your nose ring 🙂
Rach @ This Italian Family
Oh my goodness, girl… I love this! This looks just like me eating a messy burger, haha! You just gotta go for it. I’m no vegan, but you have me sold on this place! 🙂
Life's a Bowl
Bahaha, you are FABULOUS! Loved the pictures your momma took of you, they definitely capture the moment you had with that burger 😛 And now I want a bite myself…
foods for the soul
We actually have double-decker buses in my small town! Two of them were brought over from England, and one or two are newer stylish ones. (They definitely have heating on top. But even if they didn’t, I’d still choose the top seats any day — so much fun!)
