Posted at 8:56 AM by Brittany, on December 10, 2012

Saturday I went to Seattle with my mom.

    20121209-211623

    We rode on this.

    20121209-211632

We sat up top, there was no heating, and middle aged women were talking louder than a howler monkey. The bus took us to Seattle to shop, so shop we did. Naturally the highlight of my shopping experience was the food. The Veggie Grill just opened up their second Washington location, which happened to be right where we were shopping. YES!

If you live in Southern California, Northern California, Oregon, or Washington I suggest you eat here. It’s an all vegan restaurant, but don’t let that scare you. It’s delicious. Don’t believe me? Well I have some pictures that speak for themselves.

    20121209-21164720121209-211654

"This is dripping ALL OVER MY HAND!"

“This is dripping ALL OVER MY HAND!” I also look like a small forest rodent.

"I hope the table next to me isn't watching."

“I hope the table next to me isn’t watching.”

    "This burger is a mess."

    “This burger is a mess.”

    "ANNND back for more."

    “ANNND back for more.”

    20121209-211728

"Is it too soon to want seconds?"

“Is it too soon to want seconds?”

I would like to thank my mom for capturing my true beauty in these photos. I clearly have no shame, and will do whatever it takes to convince my readers of a good foodie find. This place was good. Oh and in case anyone wants to know what I was eating, it was this.

    The VG Cheeseburger

The VG Cheeseburger, El Dorado Style

The bus ride home was filled with those same middle aged women, drunk, and dancing on the lower level of the bus. They are lucky I was sober or I would have pulled out my dance moves and their jaws would have hit the floor. I look identical to this guy when I bust a move. My hero is JT too.

To Cliff Note this post I’ll say: I hung out with my mom for an entire day, I rode a double decker English bus, I froze, I ate a delicious vegan burger, and I experienced drunk older women. I slept well that night.

Q: Have you ever ridden on/in a funky vehicle?

HAHAHAHAHHAHAA OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!! This has to be the best post EVER. Your description of those women on the bus made me die, and that burger play by play? AMAZINGNESS. Pure amazingness. I have a feeling I’d look like a small rabid forest rodent too if I got my lips on that glorious burger! 😀

Ahahahha! Oh man, I’m not even a big burger fan, but your amazing play-by-play has got me craving one. Love you! And I’m kind of jealous that you got to ride on a double decker bus. I’ve never had the pleasure, and I swear part of the reason I want to visit London so bad is -just- so I can ride one myself.

      No heat?! wtfs?!

There’s a restaurant in Pittsburgh that has an amazing veggie burger, too. It’s topped with avocado, cheese, tomato, pickles, creamy sauce and a MF fried egg. MESSY DELICIOUSNESS!

When John Stewart came to DC a few summers ago my friends and I caught a double decker tour bus into the city because the metro was SOOOOO bogged down with tourists you couldn’t even get to the platform. We paid $20 for a 5 minutes ride (was unwalkable, boo hiss). This burger looks amazing and honestly your page makes me miss eating veggie and vegan goods. I will have to have a paleoish day soon and have a glorious pig out at a vegan joint! Glad you guys had fun!

The funkiest vehicle I have ever ridden (or at least that comes to mind) is an English taxi which was painted with a Reeses wrapper….would you judge me if I said that it sparked a chocolate craving ;)!

OMFG – I about fainted when I saw your BURGER EATING PHOTOS BECAUSE I thought you were eating MEAT!!!! I was going to fly on over to your house and grill you up a steak to welcome you back to the carnivore side, LOL!!!! But alas, I then read you were at Veggie Grill. Tis okay though, you still get to eat like an animal and I LOVE IT!!! I eat just like you: Pick up food (even if it ‘s soup) with hands… shove in face… get half of the food in my mouth… lick hands… and dive in for more!!! YES!

Well for the record I was NOT one of those drunk women. I was laughing so hard at Britt’s reaction to all of that LOLOLOL. There were 2 other 20 something girls on board but they were in the back and Britt and I were just playing hang man, in between her comments of the women. I have to say, I don’t think I’d do that again with them either LOLOL. But the bus would be a blast to rent with people we really know and have fun with.

She was yelling at me for taking so many pictures of her eating, but I don’t think I’ve seen her so ‘in heaven’ eating before. I was sort of stunned and had to get every moment on film. Bwahahahahahaha.

We actually have double-decker buses in my small town! Two of them were brought over from England, and one or two are newer stylish ones. (They definitely have heating on top. But even if they didn’t, I’d still choose the top seats any day — so much fun!)
