Posted at 9:55 AM by Brittany, on January 28, 2013

I love Pinterest. What kind of jobless woman would I be if I didn’t? Between the gym, walking around the grocery store, and reading blogs..I need something else to occupy the other 20hrs of my day. While I browse more than I actually pin, when I do find something worthy of pinning I attempt to make 80% of the items I pin. Take yesterdays snack for example.

    20130127-083621

Inspired by a pin, but changed up to fit my standards. Cut up russet potato, brussels sprouts, tossed in olive oil, rosemary, salt/pepper, and garlic. Roasted at 400 for maybe 30 min. It was delicious.

Pretty simple right? It took me maybe 45 minutes total to buy the ingredients, bake, and eat. BAM. I started another pin creation that didn’t go so quickly. I’m sure most of you saw this pin all over back in early October/November. The perfect fall decoration. I started this pin back in November, and I finally finished it last Friday.

    20130127-083541

I can only blame pure laziness on not finishing this craft. It should have taken me 3 hours, not three months. Needless to say, it’s complete..and I am obsessed.

    20130127-083605

Now I just need my own place to start displaying all my creations, my tiny room isn’t going to hold it all!!Completing a project (or meal) I pinned is like successfully giving a cat a bath.

Q: What has been a Pinterest item you’ve recently made that you are proud of?? My most proud pin would be this one. It got 70 repins and 26 likes. Plus I had a blast making it.

Make that 70 repins, 26 likes and at least 5 shares…I think I’ve told all my friends who are in relationships to make this for their other half for Valentine’s day! It really was the cutest gesture and I am definitely going to be stealing it when I have someone to make it for :)!

How about sleeping? I think I would use that to occupy at least part of my day. 😉 Seriously though, I adore Pinterest but am terrible at creating the things I pin. Unless it’s a recipe. Then I use it all the time. Beautiful job on the vase!

Do I fail as a Pinterester if I admit that this is the first time I’ve come across that awesome Fall candleholder? Clearly my addiction isn’t as bad as I thought, which is a shame because Pinterest is kind of brilliant in the idea department. In any case, I suppose my ongoing Pinterest project is a memory jar, where you write down a good memory on a piece of paper every day for a year and throw it into a jar to look at on NYE. Hopefully I’ll actually be able to keep up with it for the next 11 months…

Your pin is so cute such a good idea! That’s impressive that you make almost all of your pins. Hm maybe that’s the key to a successful Pinterest! I’ve got 100s of pins in my food category and I’ve made all of 3 or 4. My favorite (which I had nothing to do with hehe) was my roommates pin she used to make cauliflower pizza! It was delicious! I ate it so that counts, right?

I love that you actually do the things that you Pin! 🙂 I try to ‘re-invent’ the outfits, ‘re-create’ the kids crafts and attempt a lot of the food I Pin and LOVE doing so. I’ve had a few bombs but almost everything I’ve cooked or crafted has turned out really well. I’m considering going through my Breakfast or Baked Goods Board and making one recipe each week; I think it’d be a nice little series!
