in·spi·ra·tion- The process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, esp. to do something creative: “flashes of inspiration.”

Not to be confused with the medical definition of drawing air into the lungs. Although, when I feel inspired I tend to get excited, which causes me to breath heavy. So I supposed they tie together in the end. Sesame Street inspired me to eat a lot of cookies throughout my life, and cookies make me draw LOTS of air into my lungs.

I’ve been inspired, well more like someone I know has been inspired. After talking about purchasing a Barbie sized grill for a few weeks, I bought one! I think the grill party I had inspired me to take the plunge.

Widdle baby. Perfect sized grill for a ton of veggies, and a couple bean burgers. This has been dubbed as the “veggie grill.” No animal meats will ooze onto this grill. The meal that broke Char-Broil Charlie in was veg-tastic.

Grilled broccoli, Brussels, carrots, tomatoes, mushrooms, and onion. The veggie tray is perfect for grilling the vegetables.

My favorite part about grilling is the lines that indent into whatever burger is made. I have officially been lined. That bean burger above was charred, lined, and attacked by my intestines. A new recipe including vital wheat gluten (protein protein PROTEIN!) was used, and I enjoyed it! I need to share my bean burger recipe soon! I was able to use some more Swiss chard from the garden to top the burger!

Of course something sugary was needed before I went into shock. If I go more than 2 hours without chocolate I will pass out. I’ll give you a guess as to which banana is mine..the one with 4 pieces of chocolate. I don’t mess around.

Since purchasing Charlie the Char-Broil (maybe someone else should name this one) I’ve grilled like crazy. Grilled pineapple that was soaked in lemon juice for an hour and then topped with coconut is life changing. Grill that now.

Q: What’s the best thing you have grilled? That pineapple was seriously life changing. Pizza too.

Vegetables should come with a disclaimer: “Best eaten when grilled!” Everything looks so good, especially that banana…love that you added the chocolate! It kinda reminds me of s’mores :)! Lately I am loving grilled kabocha squash with almond butter. I’d like to say I’m slowly developing an addiction but it seems like it has already developed!

Grilled pineapple is amazing! And those grilled chocolate bananas is brilliant Brittany! I think we definitely have similar taste buds, no joke. OH and mushrooms! I have got to try mushrooms! I don’t own a grill, but is there any other way I could eat them? (I know, this is probably a silly question, but I’ve only ever had mushrooms on pizza).

I actually HATE mushrooms..these were for the Manfriend. You can eat them anyway you want!! Raw on sandwiches, dipped in salad dressings, on salads, you can saute them with olive oil and seasonings, mix them with other veggies for a stir fry, roast, bake, STUFF them and make burger buns or patty’s out of them!

This post just makes me want to run a marathon even more! Running a marathon is already on my bucket list, despite the fact I’m not a huge running fan. BUT, I think it would be WAY more fun if I had a partner. AND PINK SHOE LACES AHHHH! I have mine and I can’t wait to go the YMCA with my friend this Summer and strut an embarrassing (to my friend, not to me) :p. But that is so awesome, congrats on an awesome race! (A race, scratch that. A DAY is never complete without chocolate ;))

Wait. Rewind. What?! You grill the whole banana?! What is the science behind that? What does it taste like? For how long does it grill? Do you baste the grill with anything like oil? Or do you just toss on the banana?! Do you eat only the interior? Or do you also eat the skin? OMG, I need to know NOW! 😀

Also, I want a man who can grill, not one who just watches patiently… Grillers are the manliest of fellows! Give props to manfriend from me, please! 😀 You two are the cutest couple in the blogosphere, and I read a LOT of blogs. xoxo

The banana and chocolate taste deeelicious! It grills for maybe 8 minutes, or until the peel turns brown and the banana oils are coming out. No basting, just plop the banana right on the grill!! NO oil either..no nothing..just a banana sliced open and shoved with chocolate.

Do not eat skin. No no no. I love you.

OMG. delicious. I didn’t even get that chocolate appeared in the photograph – just thought it was an overripe banana! hahaha! Now I see it. I have some very special maple cacao on my brain, and I believe that a banana maple chocolate concoction is in my foreseeable future! i love thou, tambien! 😀

Uh… how do you make that banana-chocolate amazingness? Did you just slice the banana and grill for.. a few minutes? I want one. Now. Okay, thanks.

So happy you and manfriend are grillin’ like it is your job. The best thing I have ever grilled is a baby. And by a baby, I mean brusselsprouts. OR steak. Actually, these two together. But the sprouts, when they get charred and remain crunchy- OMGERJOWIT4WGD to die for. My mouth is watering.

YES just slice the banana, and shove the chocolate in..THAT’S IT! Then grill it until the peel gets brown and the oils are coming out of the banana.
