As I finish out my last week of work, I have been lucky enough to be around for some of my favorite seasonal items to return. Nothing says fall like honeycrisp apples. It’s official, fall is here.
Last year these apples sold for 99cents each..99cents!! That is unreal. I remember one time going to a different grocery store and paying around $3.00 for ONE!! This year, TJ’s is selling these apples for $1.19. I wish they were still 99cents..but it def beats $3.00! Even more important than these apples..are cookies. Cookies cookies cookies.
I am obsessed with these cookies. Not only do I love Joe Joe’s..but anything Halloween related gets my adrenalin glands swelling with excitement. My inner 5yr old oozes for cookies with pumpkin faces. I may or may not have a box of these stashed in my locker to quell my hunger at 4am. I have worked 4am-1 all week, and then go to class tue-thurs. I will be ready for casual mornings.
I have been doing a lot of snogging with my main man these days. Snog/study time is what I call it. I start out reading like a good student, but then become easily distracted by black fur and long whiskers.
He’s so dark you can’t even tell he’s there.
My best friend is moving about three tenths of a mile away from me this week. She used to live in the same neighborhood, but moved away when we graduated high school. I am so jazzed to have her in walking distance again for the days I become swarmed with boredom and need to laugh at funny videos online.

My mom bought me some honeycrisps this week. Seriously the size of my head and the most delicious things Ive ever ate. I am so obsessed!

I’m sad I haven’t been to TJ’s yet and there’s EIGHT in Texas now. I tried to get my friends in SA to go with me but … no luck. So hopefully someone in Houston will. haha So happy you get your bff back!! Living close to someone you can share bowel movements with are the best …… haha
$3 for one apple???!! Holy guacamole and I thought Western Australia was expensive! 99c is much better.

I bought my first honeycrisps this week. I tend to just mentally erase whatever the price was and focus on how awesomely delicious they are haha

Yes ONLY in season during the fall months! They are HUGE and soo juicy. Please get one!
We don’t get Honey Crisps over here in these parts… I like Pink Ladies, Cox’s Orange and Fuji apples the best.

I do love the honeycrisps! I went to the grocery store last night to restock and I couldn’t find them. I was about to throw down with someone. Then I saw a sign that said “EASTERN” apples in huge print, and underneath in parentheses in super tiny print “Honeycrisp.” Phew….
Oh girl, we love Honey Crisps! They are $2.49/lb at our grocery store and we have spent a pretty penny on them already, haha!

HONEYCRISPS…. funny story, just earler this week, MR. Speedy and I went grocery shopping and as we passed the apples, what did our hands BOTH reach for at the exact same moment….

We love em. We paid big bucks for them and didn’t even flinch. Apple depopulation ain’t got nothing on us.
I know you love cats but…. I really wish you were at the Pirate house right now. Today we discovered a mother and her 6 babies living underneath our shed. I don’t like them and want to kick them out of the yard but my Hippie sister and mother and Pirate LOVE them. Even though they are all allergic. I went out there to see what they were doing and she was feeding them. It was gross. They were attached to her nipples.
IF you were here, I feel like you would know what to do with them and possibly melt my cold-hearted non-kitten heart.
OK so this is again proving we are soul mates..I JUST replied to your comment on my half marathon and I made a comment about cats..here..you make a comment about cats. OH I love you. And one day we will play with kittens together after running 13 miles.
Haha I definitely had to do a double take to see your kitten. Sneaky. And I’m with you on going a little crazy over all things Halloween, but not so much about the honeycrisps. I like them, but I prefer my pink ladies

Personally my favourite are Mutsu (aka crispin), but honeycrisps are always nice too!
