Road ID Giveaway!!

I’m so excitedddd, and I just can’t hide itttt!! I am in love with this giveaway I am about to present to you all. Ever since I deemed myself an RR (real runner) I realized it was time to get a watch, new shoes, new clothes, random things in between (water bottles, headbands, arm bands for iphone…) and now..a road id. Heaven forbid I get mauled by angry javelina’s mid run and am unrecognizable. This arm candy is ideal for my solo runs.

Scott with road ID gave me a code to pick out ANY of the road ID options on their website. I literally took DAYSSS deciding which style I wanted, and what I wanted to put onto the ID. I ended up choosing the wrist ID sport and I also got a pair of socks, and an extra band for my ID tag.

So what did I think?? The road ID is awesome, lightweight and fits just like my Garmin in width. I love the ability to loosen or tighten depending on my mood, and the velcrow is durable. I can’t even feel it while I am running. The writing on the tag is great, and when I am attacked by ligers someone will know who I am! I also made sure to add, “will run for cookies” to the bottom of the tag. Along with my name, my parents phone numbers, my blood type, organ donor, no known allergies, and the year I was born!

The socks are LEGIT! My feet get nasty sometimes..I’m talking moist (who hates this word??) and clammy by the end of work AND by then end of any run. These socks wick away the moisture just like a pair of dockers. I’ve run in them, and I’ve thrown them through the real test-work. Every time I take them off my feet are happy!

Overall-yes..just yes for the socks and the wrist ID, If Dean wears them you KNOW it’s the real deal.

I wanted to pose like this for the modeling of my ID, but I knew I wouldn’t look quite as baller as Dean. We’re on a first name basis FYI.

Enough babble. Who wants to win one of these?! One lucky winner will win a $35 value PDF code to build their own ID, or whatever else they want on the roadID website! Here’s how to enter, do at least one of the following (or more for more entries):

  1. Ahh, I can’t tell you how much I’d love to win this!! I was just on the Road ID site the other day thinking how much I’d love one! I run alone and without anything (except my watch and house key), so I know one of these would be a good idea. I’m even contemplating buying a cheap pet tag and tying it to my shoelace. I may be the first person ever to have a bone-shaped ID tag…

To run safe, I only ever use one earbud for music, stick to areas frequented by other runners/cyclists, and never run in the dark. My plan is to run away from danger, should any find me! haha

  2. Oh! I also already subscribe to your blog!

Awesome giveaway! To run safe, I always let someone know where I’m going/how long I should be out. AND i take my cell phone of course.

  4. hippierunner says:

    i follow you via greader.

  5. I stay safe by running on the treadmill ;-) But I do love to get outside when I can, which, unfortunately, isn’t often because I usually run before the sun comes up. We live in a pretty safe place, but ya just never know! I mean, only other crazy ppl are going to be out and about at 430 in the morning! LOL

  6. I shared your give-a-way on my blog’s FB page (www.facebook.com/veggiev)

You have a ribbon tattoo? May I ask for what? Gwendolyn has done the Paws for the Cure each year for the last three, raising over 1 grand annually! :) She’s such a good little fundraiser. I can’t wait for you to meet her someday. My grandmother is a 12-year survivor, and my mother is currently awaiting the results of her latest call-back mammogram. Totally scary. Ef breast cancer.

    Love vous!!! xoxoxo

    • Brittany says:

Of course you may ask!! My mom had breast cancer (eff that shit for reallll) back in 2005. She was able to catch it early and go through enough treatments to get rid of it. Now she has regular checkups to make sure it doesn’t come back! Sending good vibes your way for your moms results!

I LOVE that G-money does the Paws for the Cure!! I can see her raking in mad money with that gorgeous face!! LALALAOVE you.

I am a walker! To be safer I always tell my husband where I am walking, but I do a lot of the walking by myself. I also make it a point to loop back to the house so I can fill back up with water in my pack and take a potty break. I would love one of these so I would feel safer out on the roads in the early mornings. Thanks for the opportunity to win. (btw: I became a walker when I decided to walk the a 3-day 60 mile walk that is a week from today – but already have plans to walk in one next year and maybe the year after).
